		<description>This is funny, the Westinghouse J40 engine was a miserable failure, ending up years late and delivering less than half the power that was promised. It doomed an entire generation of jet aircraft, such as the Vought  F7U Cutlass, and the first incarnation of the F3HN-1 Demon.    

It resulted in Westinghouse getting out of the turbine business altogether.</description>
