		<description>When I was a foolish lad we used to use old parachutes to create near-lethal "whips" on the frozen flooded cranberry bogs and tributaries around Barnegat Bay, NJ.
5-7 guys on one end, the suicidal volunteer holding the other. They'd open the furled chute and brake at the same time and you'd get whipped around at serious speed.
When (not if) you fell you'd still slide about 30 ft.
