Judging from the arms, success-girl didn’t so much gain “flesh” as “breasts” and “posture”. Funny how that selective weight-gain works.

If you look closely, you’ll notice that the silhouette of success-girl’s left breast is drawn in. Unless her breast is growing out of her armpit, the silhouette’s all wrong.
I believe failure-girl has been truncated somewhat as well.

Sea otters generally eat abalone. They hang out in kelp to avoid drifting around when floating on their backs eating.

Kelp-a-malt was found by the US Food and Drug Administration to be falsely branded and that it did not contain a suficient quantity of vitamins and minerals to qualify its claims as a dietary suppliment.

It was a trade name for a product known as chondrus or Irish Moss. Irish Moss is still available as a food product.
