Cool scan, but I’m not sure I buy it. It says it’s just a straight dictionary look up. If you pick the right text it will come out fine. Honestly that translation looks a little too good to me. I’ve tried translating Russian to English on Google and this actually looks better than that.

Charlie, I saw an article on this very subject written 5 years later.
From the example, it looks like they made significant headway.

I’ll read the article soon, but I had read decades ago that they translated “Out of sight, out of mind” to Russian then back to English.
It came out “Invisible Insanity”.
