When the circus disbanded for WWII, he was one of six or seven original members still performing. originally he had a trapeze act with Ward Nott. He later became a clown. At the age of ten years, I became a clown in 1937. My father was killed in a railroad accident during the war. I participated for the first few seasons following the war. I found the people there to to be very community,and civic minded and always willing to organize for worthwhile causes. There was always something happening that brought people together and always a lot of fun. I'm surprised that some of the older citizens haven't tried to bring back the old circus.
