She Shoots Babies!

CONSTANCE BANNISTER is famous for her pictures of babies. You’ve seen them often in the magazine ads.

Now, if you’ve ever attempted to take a photograph of a baby, you know how difficult it is to get cooperation from the darling little diapered despot. Babies have wills of their own and it’s an art to get them in the mood.

Miss Bannister’s battleground is a combination studio, toy shop and children’s nursery. She has no set routine for getting her little prima donnas to give; each one is an individual and must be treated differently, she says. She’ll feed ‘em, sing to ‘em, sleep ‘em. They’re pals, see? And how she mugs! She’s found that children are instinctive imitators so she just lets loose.

If you can be a combination of pantomimist, diplomat, fairy godmother, angel and photographer, and if your mugging is terrific, there’s no reason why you too can’t take good baby pictures.
