Given the nature of pro football- 2 seconds of play followed by 5 minutes of waiting for a call- I've always wondered what the heck they're thinking televising it live at all, as opposed to airing games that have been taped and edited to show only the parts where the ball is actually moving.
A game would probably fit a half-hour time slot!

jayessell: No TiVo does not keep up with last minute changes. It all depends on the networks giving out the right info far enough ahead. I almost always miss half of Cold Case on sundays.

To comment Jayessell, there are now some pay-tv providers which offered that. Usually free to air and with sound for each of the pictures. Of course the picture will be tiny, but that's what the zoom function of your reciever is for. :)

Other than that I'm amazed that it already had an OSD and that the letters of the 3 networks are so clear.

The thing I don't understand is who on earth needs a 25" TV set. That's to small for larger audiences, but to big for the average home.

When Cable Television was new, some systems offered a channel where you could see 9 or 16 channels at once in little windows to see what's on.

Dang! There should be an HDTV channel that does that now!

President Lyndon Johnson actually had 3 full size TVs installed in the Oval Office tuned to the three networks.

Speaking of movies, multi-vision was featured prominently in the original (and best) version of Rollerball with James Caan.

Not to pile on Mr. Bear but putting an exclamation point on the end of an opinion doesn't make it any more valid.

Is this your first time here Mr Bear?

I'm sure there are and will be many, many much dumber things.

This TV would let me see when "60 Minutes" starts despite being delayed by football.

Currently I'm reduced to having the DVR Record "60 Minutes" (Actually Football and the start of 60 Minutes) and "The Amazing Race" (Actually the end of 60 Minutes and the start of The Amazing Race".)

It's the Cable DVR. Does TiVo actually get it right despite unscheduled programming changes?
