Statue of Liberty: 151 feet from tip of the torch to the bottom of the feet
Proposed Lenin statue: 325 feet from the tip of the finger to the bottom of the feet.
Too bad it wasn't built. It would have cost millions! (Even with slave labor.)
It would be struck by lightning regularly.
Would you like to be inside a Russian building with tons of dead weight on the roof?

From what I understand, a number of Muscovites were upset that they'd build a church over a perfectly good public pool....

The story of what happened on that plot of ground is awesome and inspiring. Evil -can- be dispelled; wrong -can- be set right. Contributions from ordinary people poured in.

As big as a communist leader's ego, I would say.
Note the dirigable moored on the Empire State Building; this never happened because of the winds, but a PICTURE of the Las Angeles was superimposed on a photo of the building.
