Disease is an equal-opportunity employer.
The point here seems to me to get people to share their smokes, so they go out and buy more of the horrid things.

I don’t see why he shouldn’t share his smokes with her. She’s already shared her lipstick, eyeliner, and rouge with him.
In fact I think he’s wearing more of it than she is.
