I couldn’t agree more.

MORNING NOT BEST WORK TIME
Contrary to long established belief, the ability of most persons to work more swiftly and accurately on rising from a night’s sleep is not as great as it may be at other times. This was one of the many surprising facts discovered during a new series of sleep tests conducted by Dr. Nathaniel Kleitman of the University of Chicago. In his experiments he used the electrical recording instruments shown above. With them, he charted the effects upon sleepers of alcohol and drugs.

  1. I wonder how it got to be such a long established belief when the vast majority of people I know are mid-morning people, at best.

  4. I love it, the immediate knee jerk response to a scientific study is the word “rubbish”. Well, you’re entitled to your opinion no matter how useless.

As a matter of interest, Dr. Kleitman was the co-discoverer of Rapid Eye Movement (REM) during sleep. http://chronicle.uchicago.edu/.....tman.shtml

In fact, his book titled “Sleep and Wakefulness” is still in print over 70 years after it’s first edition. But you knew that.
