@Bongo

You should check out smartrecovery.org and recoverynation.com.

You really don't have to live with it the rest of your life.

Also, there may be SA and/or SAA groups in your area.

Bongo,

What you are feeling is normal. I understand the need to repress those feelings and behaviors based on where you live and the society in which you operate, but your God does not hate you - any God that cannot understand the Human Condition and judges one based on absolute guidelines is not worthy of worship.

You are a child of the Universe, no less than the trees and the stars - you have a right to be here.

I struggle with exhibitionism. I'm married, I attend church, I have a normal job, normal friends, but there is this side of me which nobody knows about and which I have serious trouble controlling. Committing suicide is a regular thought. I disgust myself, God, the victims, my wife. Locking me up is surely not going to help me stop, killing me (or myself), that will yes. The fear of getting locked up sometimes do help a bit. If it's not exhibitionism, then it is prostitution. I live in Africa, HIV is as common as winter flue. At least I can't get aids from exhibitionism. The fear of contracting aids do help a bit sometime, but most of the times I can't control myself. You don't have an idea what nightmare life I have to face each day in my battle against exhibitionism and prostitution, it surely is a lonely life.

Who cares? If you lot weren't so ridiculously uptight about nudity, exhibitionism wouldn't even exist.

Really, Lets a man off the hook for cannoodling his noodle in public?

"Your Honor! My client wasn't serious! He was just fooling around!"

Hmmm, what happens when he gets serious?

I'm with Blurgle on this one.

What's the statistic for flashers? 95% 'graduate' to stranger rape, isn't it?

Aw, poor, poor fellow. Let's feel worse for him than for his victims.
