		<description>If they had waited a year until 1940 they could have discussed the most interesting Halogen of all, Astatine. A fun element, looks and behaves a bit like Iodine, but very radioactive, the most stable form only having a half life of 8.3 hours.
A bit tricky to get hold of because Astatine is the rarest naturally-occurring element, the total amount in the Earth&#039;s crust is than 1 oz at any given time.</description>
