Ice Straws Flavor Drink
Beverages are flavored and iced at the same time when sipped through a new-type drinking straw. The straw is designed so that when it is used, the beverage passes up through a soluble, frozen flavoring material within the body of the straw. The straws are kept on ice until time for use.
That’s a ridiculously ill-thought idea. How much ice could be lined inside a straw? It would all melt almost instantly.

Not only is it ill-thought for that reasons, it’s ill-thought because it would make things enormously difficult for people with dietary restrictions. Not only would they have to determine the ingredients in the drink, they’d also have to determine the ingredients in the straw!

This reminds me of the Flavor-Straws I saw in the 50s and 60s. Those had a powdered flavor in the straw.

I saw some straws like these for sale at Walgreen’s the other day. Granted, they didn’t actually have the ICE aspect, but they were for flavoring milk in chocolate, strawberry and… banana? Something like that.
