Rife built oscillators to pump vibrations into cells and disrupt them. He wanted to kill disease cells. A good theory… resonant vibrations to break the glass. Modern conspiratists say he had found a cure for everything, suppressed knowledge, the AMA doesn’t want you to know, etc. Replicas or some version of these machines are available on the internet. BEWARE. A friend of mine got one, which was jacked up, amplified by some lab tech. She played with it a lot, on her head. She went crazy, stabbed her own face many times, fell out a window, ran and drown in a pond. I figure her brain cells were destroyed by this machine. The machine was then destroyed by her distraught, grieving friends, so we will never know what outputs it had, what signals she fed into herself.
Any medical process is designed to kill something you don’t want in you. But you don’t want to kill you. That is the fine line. Don’t mess with it stupidly. Rife had a good idea, and perhaps a technology that could work, but pointing the machine at yourself without knowledge of it’s effects is foolish. There is a reason for lab tests.
My sweet friend died to let you all know this.

Was he a quack? There’s certainly a lot written about him on the web. Here’s one:

Apparently he was very secretive and didn’t document his inventions. He also claimed to have a cure for cancer.
