Many Queer Gadgets Found on Burnelli’s New Airplane
FREAK planes are nothing new, but a ship of unconventional design that really flies is a distinct novelty. This new type of Brunelli plane, recently flown at the Newark Airport by Roger Wolfe Kahn, not only flies but seems to be nearly foolproof. Large biplane ailerons not only give easy control but additional lift.
There is a typo in the text (”Brunelli”), while in the title the name is correct ( http://www.aircrash.org/burnelli/chrono1.htm ). Usually happens just the contrary.

It used to mean ‘odd’.
One episode of “WKRP” had newsman Les Nessman barred from the football (or was it some other sport?) locker room because someone called him a “queer little guy”.
It was also slang for ‘counterfeit’. ‘Queer money’.

It’s sad to see that the only comments here are about typos and the use of an English word.
Burnelli type aircraft should be our present day mode of transport, multi thousands, possible millions of lives could have been saved if it hadn’t been for a presidential fit of temper in 1941.
