GEARLESS AND CHAINLESS BIKE DRIVEN BY BODY BOUNCE
Functioning on the principle of an eccentric rear wheel, the latest bicycle has neither gears nor a chain. Invented by Phil Huyseng of Chicago, the bike is propelled by a bouncing motion of the body.
These ‘kangaroo bikes’ are still around. I saw a couple of guys with them on the annual 50km expressway bike ride for charity (Ride for Heart – and the roads are closed to cars for the event) a few years back.

The eccentric wheel seems a bit extreme; why not just put a crank on on a round wheel?

The phrase “bouncing motion of the body” juxtaposed with the photo of that couple is a risky choice.
