These ads for Ford Instruments are so weird. They are all for military components and they all use puppets… Could you imagine Boeing using Miss Piggy in an ad for cruise missiles?

Miss Piggy would be better for an airline – as a picky passenger – than an airframe manufacturer. And that other Ford company used the Peanuts gang in the early 60s. (Would *you* buy a Ford Fairlane from a beagle?)
I think this one seems to be mocking the point of view that it’s child’s play to aim a weapon from a pitching and rolling ship.
