Billing Clerk “Wears” Pencil on Index Finger

One billing clerk solved the problem of always having a pencil at hand by wearing it on his finger. To do this, a holder was shaped from a piece of spring brass as shown. This left both hands free for handling packages and boxes, yet by merely crooking the finger the pencil was brought into service for checking items.
