That’s a big chainsaw.
Coal Saw Replaces Drills OLD style drilling methods are outmoded by a “walking” coal saw with teeth several inches long mounted on a rapidly moving belt. Hydraulic pistons “walk” the machine forward.
When I first read the headline, I momentarily thought they meant the saw was powered by coal, rather than used to mine coal.
So, did anyone ever build a coal-fired coal saw, or would that be an insanely horrid fire hazard?

Right up there with the gas television.

When I first read the headline, I momentarily thought it said “Cole Slaw Replaces Drill.” I’ve got to stop drinking while surfing the web.

Jphn@3: That could be a family motto.
But I think “Cole Slaw Replaces Dill” would work at my local deli. Maybe that’s why Charlie picked it (family business.)
