Coal Saw Replaces Drills
OLD style drilling methods are outmoded by a “walking” coal saw with teeth several inches long mounted on a rapidly moving belt. Hydraulic pistons “walk” the machine forward.

  1. When I first read the headline, I momentarily thought they meant the saw was powered by coal, rather than used to mine coal.

    So, did anyone ever build a coal-fired coal saw, or would that be an insanely horrid fire hazard?

    But I think “Cole Slaw Replaces Dill” would work at my local deli. Maybe that’s why Charlie picked it (family business.)

  5. As far as I know, they still use things like this. Well, they did when Incredible Cross-Sections was made, at any rate.
