  2. Patently false advertising. While I did not have an Echophone, I did hae a very nice Hallicrafters SW receiver and, in my experience, the slightest mention of my excitement at hearing a station broadcasting from some exotic locale resulted in instantaneous loss of interest by any “hot babe” within earshot…

  4. He’d have to be smoking the “wacky tobacky” to think that the guys who got the beautiful girls spent their time fiddling with a shortwave radio. I should know, I owned (and still have) a Hallicrafters receiver myself.
