		<description>the beacon was renamed the Bunny Beacon after Playboy Magazine bought the building in the late 60s... it was eventually stopped due to the problem with taller buildings nearby like the Hancock Building...it would throw blinding light in the windows.</description>

		<description>The beacon now sits on the ground between hangers at Pioneer Airport outside the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) museum in Oshkosh WI.  It was apparently moved there in 1990.</description>

		<description>Amazingly, this operated for some time, and is still in operation today, although at a different location pointing out over the lake, evidently. Evidently it was shut down in like 1981 at the Palmolive Building. Not a bad run.

It&#039;s always interesting to see where the super-engineering projects of yesteryear ended up.</description>
