There is no copyright on the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The printed version that dates from 1853 by the Brothers Grimm is the one most are familiar but the story itself is much older and with many different versions. Supposedly in one version Snow White is pompted by some one to kill her step mother and that is why the stepmother orders her killed. In other versions it is her mother that becomes jealous and abandons her. There are college courses taught on interpretations of the Snow White mythos.

A quick Googling turned up this link for "Limited Publishers Guild".

http://rmc.library.cornell.edu/EAD/htmldocs/RMM07441.html

If H. Lynn Womack was the publisher, he was quite the pioneer in helping to legalize smut.

And six hours later the brain suddenly figures it out: Tijuana Bibles.

<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphonse_and_Gaston" rel="nofollow">Alphonse and Gaston</a> were the main characters of a comic strip that ran in Hearst newspapers.
