Intentionally crash and walk away from your 50+ aircraft, then question Dick Grace's rationale. He saw many friends die when their planes "nosed over" and chose not to be among them. The anvil served it's purpose. I own a copy of his autobiography "Visibility Unlimited" and it is an interesting read. Urban is right about his veteran status. And he flew in each of those wars, a S.P.A.D in WWI and multiple tours in B-17's and 24's in WWII with the 8th. The last half of the war he flew with chunks of shrapnel lodged near his hip. He piloted a number of irreparably shot-apart "unflyable" 17's and crash-landed each one of them safely back in England, saving the lives of many men less than half his age in the process. This guy was the real deal.

Trailer for Wings, with a few crashes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqCWj4c6R98

It can also be noted that Dick Grace survived his stunt flying career. And two wars.

The anvil in the tail was just the beginning of a slippery slope for the reputation of the Acme corporation and their numerous heavy and destructive items...

What a great idea -- an anvil in the tail of the plane, directly behind the pilot, who's preparing to crash the plane into something solid... What could possibly go wrong?
