Eli: What, you’ve never seen an aircraft carrier? Anyway, the rope appears to be hand held, so the quick responce to any problem would be to drop it.

Now, that condo that keeps putting a grey steel cable across the Trans Canada Trail/Bike Path is another matter entirely.
