I recall a teacher who thought this was just "airman's humor" (I was a kid in school on an RCAF base) until one kid brought in his grandfather's photo with one of the beasts, with that old-fashioned looking white photo writing with the date and location. Sounds a bit like an unlikey Disney film from the '70s, doesn't it? Hmm. I wonder if that story ever HAS been told on film. Oh my goodness – a reference to the famous (?) British Columbia Elephant Hunt!
