TOMORROW-LAND (Apr, 1965)
TOMORROW-LAND
High spot of the New York World’s Fair reopening this Spring — GM Futurama!
You can look over GM’s exciting “idea” cars — Firebird IV with television, stereo, game table, refrigerator; GM-X with jet aircraft cockpit and controls—fascinating design and engineering innovations right out of
tomorrow. You’ll take a ride that is wrapped in wonders . . . through the metropolis of the future, over Antarctic wastes, into tropical jungles, along the ocean floor.
You can count on the people of General Motors again to provide the most popular show at the Fair—the Futurama.
General Motors Is People…
making better things for you

Next up… the GM “Past-o-rama”…

I wonder if the dash between tomorrow and land was to keep from getting sued by Disney.

How fast was that building traveling when it hit the tree?

How beautiful it was, tomorrow.
There’ll never be a day of sorrow.

Soylent Green is People!?! oh well…
I was there. I went on the ride. GE was the most amazing – the vision of the future with everything run by the nuclear power plant.

And thank you very much for your selfish support of imported autos and other products that have helped bring about the demise of America’s industrial base. I don’t want to hear your tired “blame the corporations” excuses. Blame yourself, the consumer with no national loyalty. And just wait until your business outsources. The fault, dear Horatio, is in our greed.
