More on point, when I was stationed at Fort Campbell about three decades ago, five guys from an infantry squad decided to go hunting on the back part of the post. They separated (bad idea), all managed to spot the same deer in a clearing at the same time and, not realizing they had surrounded it, all opened fire about the same time. The deer escaped, but we treated two of them in the emergency room for bullet wounds.
