Inventor Makes Propeller-Driven Tricycle
A THREE-WHEELED vehicle constructed of airplane parts and powered by a two-cylinder motor and small propeller has been designed by John Dacy, a young inventor of Zion City, Ill.
The rear part of the machine consists of an airplane landing gear on which is mounted the motor and propeller. In front of this is the pilot’s seat, suspended from a frame of steel tubing. The lone front wheel is connected by chain and wire to the steering apparatus.
The propeller develops tremendous pushing power and gives the machine such high speed that its owner has no fear of traffic officers.

Does that mean no worries about being considered a nuisance because it’s so slow, or does it go so fast they can’t catch him?

John must think he’s faster than a speeding bullet since he “has no fear of traffic officers”. Of course, he may never drive around anywhere but that field where pictured; not onto public roads under the jurisdiction of traffic laws. Yet, if John Dacy never respected the law is he wearing body armor under his suit?

About 30-40 miles west of Zion, Ill in Harvard there’s a Dacy Airport founded by a John Dacy.

There doesn’t seem to be much ground clearance or any kind of suspension system. The braking arrangements, if any, appear to be minimal. All in all, not something one’s life insurance company would approve of.

The placement of this article just above one in which the police are provided two-way radios is ironic since, as anyone who has ever watched “COPS” can attest, you can’t outrun a radio.
