TOWER OF REVOLVING FLOORS FOR PARKING AUTOMOBILES
As a solution to the automobile parking problem, an Ohio inventor offers a circular steel garage “tower,” consisting of a number of revolving stories arranged one above the other and each affording space for several cars, which are to be raised to position by an outside elevator. He estimates that a structure of this type with twenty floors, thirty-six feet in diameter, would hold two hundred automobiles and might provide additional facilities for radio stations, an observation or amusement center, or possibly a landing place for aircraft or an anchor post for dirigibles.
I’ed think getting a decent shot going at speed would be impossible...
More practical than some of these schemes, e.g. the “parking Paternoster” recently posted where everything parked has to be moved at the same time, but it still has the disadvantage that if the machinery breaks down, everyone is stuck. Also, you’d have to charge extra on the parking tickets for the cost of all the fuel or electricity used by the massive motors required to shift vehicles about.

With only one way in and out you would have a nice traffic jam at the elevator during morning and evening rush hours. Spiral ramps work better.
