AUTO “STAGE” DEPOT HAS COMFORTS OF BIG HOTEL
To provide comfortable waiting rooms for patrons, and furnish employes with proper quarters, an automobile transport company in the west has built a depot with accommodations that rival those found in modern hotels. The entire front of the building is plate glass, and an ornamental canopy, supported by chains, protects passengers alighting at the curb. The second floor is fitted with shower baths, reading room and sleeping chamber for drivers of the cars. There are seven loading slips, and outgoing passengers enter the “stages” from platforms level with the running-boards of the vehicles, thus minimizing danger of accidents. The garage has space for the storage of 20 machines.
