    As a child of the early Seventies, I think I can say without fear of contradiction that both men’s and women’s fashions have never been more hideous and horrible than they were in the early Seventies.

    Ah, yes, those earth-toned ‘horse blanket’ plaids, the multi-coloured leather, and the buckles. Two, three pronged buckles on belts, even.
