Auto Gun Holder Invented
ADAPTED for use with any revolver from .22 to .45 caliber, a newly invented holster compartment is easily and quickly attached to the bottom of an automobile instrument panel. The compartment features a special door fitted with a lock that not only protects the gun from theft, but which automatically thrusts the gun into the user’s hand when the lock is tripped. The holster is constructed of heavy gauge iron.

Is it just me or is anyone else seeing the scenario here of:

You know that’s the first time I paid attention to it being for a revolver! Whenever I see “.45″ I always think of my 1911!
So to play it safe always put in a Ruger!!
Seems like H&R pistols used a transfer bar safety as well, but a Smith or a Colt you are correct, but it would need to hit something pretty hard, like the person’s head that left a round under a hammer!!
At about this time, the auto manufacturers were starting to put the handbrake exactly where this is shown.
