Beauty Machine Pats the Face (Aug, 1930)
Beauty Machine Pats the Face
A NEW beauty machine that gently pats cosmetics into the skin as advised by beauty and skin specialists has been brought out by a Connecticut manufacturer. The device is equipped with a cord for connection to light socket

or you could use your fingers… (and not stick anything in the light socket)
For use on the face.
Mainly.
Mostly.
Usually.
Sometimes.
Ocassionally.
I can think of a few other uses for that which will give you an even better “healthy glow.”
Ah, the old vibrator on the cheek ruse…
I have a 1923 vibrator and pamphlet that has a similar image and recommendations for the treatment of ‘pelvic congestion’…
Yep: she uses the vibrator to “pat makeup into her skin”, the Lysol to “stop being grouchy to her husband”, the Midol so she has a “fresh and bright countenance”, etc., etc.
You have to love old ads: what isn’t said is sometimes more important than what is.
